Hotmail

Hotmail Hotmail Login Hotmail Sign Up Hotmail is a free E-mail service from Microsoft. It is free to the user, but a Hotmail registration is required. Hotmail was originally founded in 1996 and was shortly afterwards acquired by Microsoft. MSN Hotmail has undergone a number of incarnations, which has led to a certain amount of confusion amongst users. It was originally launched as Hotmail, then became MSN Hotmail under Microsoft. Windows Live Hotmail replaced this, until it eventually became Outlook.com in 2013. Hotmail users can choose which domain they wish to use for their email address, the options being @hotmail.com. @live.com and @outlook.com.

Hotmail Integrations

Hotmail is closely integrated with the Office Online suite. This allows you to use the full range of office products (Word, OneNote, etc.) from the cloud. Users do not need to download any software to your computer. These integrations open up many possibilities for collaboration, since documents can be saved, shared, edited and even collaborated on simultaneously with other users. Users also benefit from a 25mb attachment limit (which is in line with Gmail). However, Hotmail automatically sends larger attachments using OneDrive if the attachment exceeds this limit.

Aliases

Hotmail users can also take advantage of so-called aliases. These are other email addresses that are associated with your primary account. Although the address name is different, email sent to this address is administrated from the primary account. This allows users to, for example, separate business and pleasure, while managing everything centrally. The recipient is not aware that the email originates from your primary account.

User Interface And Mobile

The user interface has a minimalist feel and and has clearly been designed with the user in mind. Although very well integrated with a range of other Microsoft products, the interface still feels uncluttered. A mobile version of Hot mail is available for download. Outlook.com email syncs seamlessly between multiple devices and you can also manage your aliases in the mobile version. Continue to Hotmail registration and Hotmail login instructions…
